Game Description

The local trader is late returning from a caravan run at another wasteland settlement. You have been asked to travel down the road and hopefully find and escort him with the wagon of goods back to the settlement. This is an introductory one-shot adventure for 1st level characters for Atomic Shadows Post-Apocalyptic RPG.

Atomic Shadows RPG is a post-apocalyptic adventure game written and illustrated by Ralf Wall (Raflar), to be used with the ShadowDark RPG rules system.

The world is a dark and dangerous place where everything that once was is destroyed and lying in ruins. Ancient technology that gave nations ultimate power are hidden and scattered waiting to be discovered.

When the radiation storms and toxic environment aren’t trying to kill you, strange mutated creatures look at you as their next meal. Various factions, secret alliances, and raider gangs are all vying for dominance.

Player characters can be a human, genetically immune to the mutating effects of radiation. Players can also choose from humans, anthropomorphic animals, or even a sentient plant creatures, that has been altered physically and mentally with mutations.

Mutants are granted strange powers such as claws or fangs, telepathy, elemental control, mental blasts, and much more.

Radiation can be extremely deadly and it can (in some cases) cause you to mutate even further. There are both benign and harmful mutations so extreme caution is advised.

This game introduces new weapons and armour such as ballistic guns, laser rifles, riot gear, and street sign shields, to name a few. There are also rules for scavenging and repairing your gear when they get damaged… plus MUTATIONS!

So gather your party and scour the wasteland ruins in search of ancient technology. Battle strange beasts with laser rifles while watching your companion suddenly grow a prehensile tail.
