To all artists!
posted Mar 15 2010 3:46PM by Jay
I will send this as an email to all artists already signed up, but just so potential late sign-ups and other coordinators can see as well...

Greetings my lovely artists! Gryphcon is less than 2 weeks away! Which means that there are a few things left to take care of.

First on the roster: BULK PRINTS! If you are interested in having prints done, let me know what works of art you want to be printed, as well as the quantity. All copies will be printed as colour prints on a a slightly glossy paper (I can get back to you with specifics if needed). If it is digital art you want printed, submit it to me via email by SUNDAY MARCH 21ST! And if you have hard copies of work to be printed, get it to me at the FLASH table (2nd floor of the UC) by MONDAY MARCH 22ND! Anything submitted later WILL NOT BE PRINTED.

Recommended numbers of prints: 5-10 copies per work of art, as commissions will tend to take up the bulk of your sales.

Breakdown of prices: $0.69/copy. For reference, if you were to go it on your own and get less than 25 copies total, it would work out to $0.79/copy. So it's about a 13% discount.

2nd item of interest: OVERNIGHTING AT THE UC!
I'm afraid I was slightly misinformed with regards to where we would be bunking down for the night in the UC. Peter Clark Hall will be locked for the night to protect all your lovely booths, and overnighting (and movie viewing) will be on the 3rd floor of the UC. So those of you staying, remember your sleeping bags!

3rd thing: MOVIES!
So far I've had one suggestion for a movie title, which is Akira, and most people have put down they'd like to see something to do with fantasy/anime/action. I'll bring along Akira, V for Vendetta, and my hard drive containing all the seasons of Reboot, Beast Wars and Shadow Raiders along. If there are any specific movies you'd like to see, email me at entheatus@hotmail.com.

Feel free to email me with any questions, all!

Cheers,
Jay
