#4 Saturday 2pm-6pmGame Description
After the destruction of its most feared battle station, the Empire has declared martial law throughout the galaxy.
Reeling from their defeat on the ice world of Hoth, the Rebel Alliance has once more been scattered across the galaxy.
A hearty few follow in the wake of this destruction. Called scavengers, vultures, and thieves, they're only trying desperately to survive.
"Scavengers of the Frozen Wastes" is an adventure run using Fantasy Flight Games' "Star Wars: Edge of the Empire" game system. This is Han Solo's Star Wars, where the Jedi are from stories told to frighten children, where hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side. You will take on the part of a fringer, an outsider, neither a member of the Rebel Alliance nor of the Galactic Empire. Times are desperate. You'll do anything to survive, including picking over the carcasses of Imperial AT-ATs and Alliance speeders buried under eight feet of snow and ice.

Hello folks! Thanks for your interest in my game this coming weekend. I wanted to introduce myself and talk a little bit about the game so we can get some of the formalities out of the way, and get to gaming faster on Saturday.
My name is Rob Wakefield, I'm an Instructional Digital Media Developer at the University of Waterloo, and I've been gaming for 3/4 of my life. I'm a huge Star Wars fan – I saw the theatrical release of Star Wars when it hit theatres for the first time in the 70s and I've loved it ever since. I've played and run most iterations of Star Wars RPGs from West End Games' D6 game, WotC's versions and now Edge of the Empire, which in my opinion is the one that captures the cinematic feel of Star Wars most closely.
Anyhow – for Saturday's game, I've got a series of pre-generated characters to help with moving into gameplay quickly, and giving inexperience players a place to start. If you are familiar with the game and want to bring your own character, let me know by emailing me at crossfire.ue@gmail.com and we can discuss it. In the mean time, here are the pre-generated characters and a bit of a description;
Cole Rennek, Human Explorer / Trader. Cole is the owner / operator of a YT-2400 freighter, the Mad Rat. Cole is a pilot, navigator, and somewhat of a lore master.
Groewoot, Wookiee Hired Gun / Marauder. Groewoot is a brawler, plain and simple. If you can't smash something to solve the problem, Groewoot is not the guy you want to talk to about it. Groewoot loves his vibro-axe.
Haskit Dall'cra, Bothan Colonist / Doctor. Haskit is the charming, cool-headed medic. He has proven his mettle in combat but now, for some reason, ranges the Outer Rim.
LE-R01 "Leroy", Droid Hired Gun / Bodyguard. Where Groewoot solves things with an axe, Leroy solves things with a blaster. Leroy is one of a few remaining LE security droids that were decommissioned because a bug in their personality OS made them obstinate, regardless of how often they had their systems scrubbed.
Sensha Britt, Togruta Smuggler / Thief. Senesha is out to prove herself, and to clear her name after being accused of a crime she did not commit. A skilled slicer and thief, Senesha is also at home behind the controls of a starship.
Have a look at these, and if anything strikes your fancy, please let me know!
See you on Saturday!
